Village Poppy Appeal 2020 – Wednesday and Friday mornings
A message from Ashley Riddell, the Long Crendon and Chilton Poppy Appeal Organiser for the Royal British Legion: –
Due to Covid restrictions , sadly no house to house Poppy collections can take place , so you won’t see Jane or myself knocking on your doors over the coming two weeks
In an attempt to offer poppies to the village for those who wish to support the cause, it is my intention to stand with a table ( social distancing will apply) on Wednesday and Friday mornings between 9 am and 12-ish this coming week offering a range of goodies including the latest 2020 pin badge
Subject to weather conditions I will be either standing at the seat opposite the old club or under shelter in the bus shelter
I will be pleased to see you and have a chat despite the mask!
The Village Church service of remembrance is currently planned to take place on the 8th of November at 3 o’clock subject to any new guidance from central government in the interim – why not come along?
Many thanks
Ashley Riddell
