Two local planning items for your information:

Meeting on Wednesday 2nd September

At 10.00am on Wednesday 2 September 2026, Buckinghamshire Council’s Strategic Sites Committee is due to consider the Hornage Farm anaerobic digestion (AD) facility application (CM/0022/22). This is the site that sits within Chilton Parish that is on Bicester Road/B4001 (pretty much opposite the turn as you come out of Brill Road and can head right to Oakley).

The committee report (111 pages) sets out the planning officers’ assessment of the proposal and the recommendations for members to consider – which is to ‘Defer and delegate the application to the Director of Planning and Environment to GRANT planning permission (subject to some conditions)‘. The report also summarises the support, objections and comments received from local Parish Councils, residents and other consultees. On Page 89, Chilton Parish Council’s objection is referenced, highlighting concerns including the principle of development, landscape and visual impact, traffic impacts, and effects on the local area.

Deadline for comments: Sunday 6th September

Buckinghamshire Council is currently consulting on its Draft Local Plan for Buckinghamshire 2045 (Regulation 19), which will help guide where future housing, employment, infrastructure and community facilities are located across the county up to 2045. This is the final stage of public consultation before the plan is submitted for independent examination.

For residents of Chilton Parish, the draft plan does not propose any new development allocations within the Parish itself. However, a number of proposed housing and employment allocations are identified in nearby areas and villages, with potential implications for local traffic, infrastructure and public services used by Chilton residents). Appendix D (a Map Guide) is probably the easiest/quickest way to view the draft plan.

The consultation is open until 11:59pm on Sunday 6 September 2026.
