Sunday the 11th of October at 11am – Come to Celebrate and be Thankful

A message from Bertie on behalf of St Mary’s Church:

I think all of us living in Chilton  going through Covid have been more than aware that living in a supportive village community and being surrounded by our beautiful open spaces with so many footpaths and bridleways has made this very challenging period a whole lot easier. So, we thought that it would be nice to celebrate our countryside and to say a quiet thank you for help and kindness on Sunday the 11th of October which in past years would have been our traditional Harvest service.

As with everything else the rules on what we can and can’t do in church change constantly, so who knows where we will be in October? BUT if things remain the same we hope to hold a service in our Church AND Church yard at 11 on the 11th. Please bring all your dogs, children, neighbours and family. Refreshments/picnics if allowed and of course Bonios!

More detail in next month’s Bernwode News and on ALL village notice boards.
