30 speed sign

Speed Warning Sign Report for Chilton

We’re all aware that there’s a speeding problem in Chilton, particularly at certain times of the day. Chilton resident, Nick Wasey, has analysed the August/September data from the MVAS (Motor Vehicle Activated Sign) and has compiled a concise summary of vehicle speeds through our village at all times of the day and night, which makes an interesting read. He’s also made several recommendations for traffic calming, which the Parish Council is looking into.

Thank you1

Thank you!

Thank you to everyone who came along yesterday to the Chilton Ramble for Children in Need.

Whilst the weather first thing couldn’t have been much worse, with rain and very high winds (big thanks to Duncan Parker for clearing the tree off the route down Chapel Lane), the storm passed over and we had 20 walkers of all ages who completed the 5km route.
At least 30 people joined us for bacon baps, cakes, tea and coffee served at Chilton House.
A huge thanks to all those who made the delicious cakes and biscuits.
Thanks to your support we raised a fantastic £246 for Children in Need.

Thank you!
